Lao Cai establishes strict control of people entering and leaving the province

Facing the complicated and unpredictable developments of the Covid-19 epidemic nationwide, currently 62/63 provinces and cities have Covid-19 cases; 20 provinces and cities are applying social distancing according to Directive No. 16/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic. To minimize the epidemic from entering the province, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee directed:

1. All residents are required to come/return to Lao Cai province from 0:00 on July 27 until further notice, one of the following conditions is required:

Have a certificate of negative test result for SARS-CoV-2 by Realtime-PCR method within up to 72 hours or rapid antigen test within up to 24 hours from the date of test result.

In case there is no certificate of negative test result for SARS-CoV-2, a rapid test must be performed at the Covid-19 epidemic control points and the test costs themselves.

Particularly for trucks,  100% of drivers and people on vehicles must perform a quick test for SARS-CoV-2 at quarantine checkpoints before entering Lao Cai province.

2. For the case of people coming to/from the locked-down areas, the areas applying social distancing according to Directive No. 16/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister, implement 14-day concentrated isolation.
