Y Ty commune is located in the west of Bat Xat district, Lao Cai province, about 100 km from Lao Cai city. The place is dubbed the "misty land" with beautiful terraced fields and unique walls. With high mountain terrain, the road is still difficult, so many tourists were surprised when coming to Y Ty.

Here are some small experiences to share with you when going to Y Ty.
Vehicles, transport to Y Ty

To get to Y Ty, from Hanoi you can buy a train ticket to Lao Cai or catch a passenger bus to Lao Cai (or Sa Pa). From Lao Cai (Sa Pa) to move into Y Ty, many vehicles can be used but the most convenient is motorcycles. You can choose to bring a motorbike from Hanoi or rent a motorbike in Lao Cai or Sa Pa. There are two roads from Lao Cai to Y Ty. One is Lao Cai - Bat Xat town - Trinh Tuong - A Muc Sung - Lu Lu - Ngai Thau - Y Ty. The road is quite beautiful, only a few places have water flowing through due to heavy rain. The road is not too steep. The total road is about 80km (note: the section from A Mú Sung - Lung Po - A Lu is a border patrol road so it is very bumpy and difficult to go). The second is Lao Cai - Sa Pa - Muong Hum - Y Ty, now the road is very beautiful and easy to go.

A few notes when going to Medicine
Because Y Ty is a border commune, along the way there will be a number of border posts and stations, stop at any area where there are stations or stations you should also talk to the border guards so they know.
When renting a car in Sa Pa, the service usually requires you to leave your identity card. So you need a copy of a notarized copy or passport to rent a car. Original identity card should be kept in person to report to the border.
