Tourists can come to Bat Xat by bus or car and start to walk on Pavie ancient trail from Tra Pha school in Nhiu Co San village, a small village of Mong ethnic in Sang Ma Sao commune. 

Pavie ancient stone trail  is about 3 m wide and stretches for more than 20 km through complex terrain. Although it has been stained by time because it was left desolate in the forest, many sections still remain almost intact. Walking on the ancient trail, you will have change to see many sections of polished stones, unknown by human footprints, horses or by rain and wind, only traces of time.

Going far away into the jungle, you will be immersed by the beautiful natural scenery on both sides of the trail with lush green cardamom, hundred-year-old canopy, cool stream flowing through the great rock. Sometimes, you have to be very careful when walking on rocks  because it covered by green moss.

Crossing the boundary of Cloud pass (May pass), along a small road interspersed with wild flowers stretching on both sides, you will come to Sang Ma Pho village, it is one of the highest and remote village with the most dangerous terrain in Sin Suoi Ho commune, Phong Tho district, Lai Chau province.
