Lao Cai International Border Gate - Ha Khau is one of three international border gates, which are important in economic and trade exchanges across the land border between the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the People's Republic of China. The Lao Cai International Border Area under Lao Cai IP was formed with the area of over 60 km2, including the wards and communes of Lao Cai, Coc Leu, Duyen Hai, Pho Moi, Kim Tan and Van. Hoa, Dong Tuyen in Lao Cai city and Na Mo village in Ban Phiet commune of Bao Thang district.
