The week of the festival will take place with many interesting activities such as: Thematic display of Vietnamese Mother Goddesses, introduction of performance spaces for Vietnamese Mother Goddess beliefs, the system of Mother Temples and Mother Goddess worship in Lao Cai. and Sapa; introduce costumes and artifacts for the worship of Mother Goddesses in different regions of Vietnam, organize Chau Van festival, street festival of Sa Pa and Dao Mau ethnic groups; Festival of worshiping Mother Goddesses, folk sacrifices...With the art program "Sa Pa - Convergence" with the participation of nearly 100 artists, actors, 30 Thanh Dong artisans from provinces and cities This will be one of the impressive activities and attracts the participation of a large number of domestic and international tourists. 1. Opening ceremony of Mau Thuong Temple Festival

Chau Van Festival



- Time: From 20:00 on 9 and 11/4/2021.

- Location: Multi-purpose house- TTXTDL Center - Sa Pa town.






- The stage simulates a palace maid in the mother-worshiping religion.

- 20 Bronze Artists by the Center for Research and Conservation of Vietnamese Beliefs will, in turn, perform typical excerpts from shelves according to Vietnam's Mother Worship beliefs.

- Giving certificates of the Town People's Committee to the bronzes who attended the program.

Street Canaval “The Sa Pa and Dao Mau Ethnicities (Detailed script attached)



- Time: 14h-17h on 10/4/2021 and 9am-11am on 11/4/2021 (time may change due to weather).






- Gathering place: Quan Stadium (Dragon dance team and procession will gather in the yard, only 6 model cars will be arranged on the road around the yard)

- Route: From Sa Pa yard along Thach Son street to the fork in front of Hai Yen I Hotel, turn left along Xuan Vien street At the end of Xuan Vien Street, turn right and follow Dien Bien Phu Street. At the intersection, turn to Dien Bien street, end of Dien Bien street turn right along Luong Dinh Cua street; At the end of Luong Dinh Cua street, continue to turn right, follow Ngu Chi Son street back to the yard

- 05 fixed performance venues: Trouser yard → Sa Pa town guest house intersection → Mau Son Temple fork, Oten slope in front of Cafe Cafa 2 door → Electricity fork →  roundabout of old bus station.

- Processions: Dragon procession, Mother palanquin procession, Sa Pa ethnic groups ( Kinh, Mong, Dao, Giay, Tay, Xa Pho).

Festival "Practicing Mother Goddess Worship"
