In recent years, grasping the advantages in developing adventure mountain climbing tourism, Bat Xat has promoted to development this type of tourism. The development of mountain climbing tourism has been included in the project "Tourism development associated with preserving and promoting the cultural identity of ethnic groups in Bat Xat district in the period of 2016 - 2020", striving to 2020, tourism in Bat Xat will becomes an important economic sector in the local economic structure

Bat Xat tourism with majestic mountains always welcome those who love adventure to explore, conquer the peak, such as: Ky Quan San peak (Bach Moc Luong Tu) with a high of 3,046m); peak of Nhiu Co San with a high of 2.860m, Lao Than peak ) with a high of 2.965m. Before, the passion for conquering the high peaks in Bat Xat of many backpacking tourists is only a spontaneous form.  But in recent years, especially in 2017 and 2018, has been paid attention to developed and invested. This type of tourism has become a key tourism product in the district's tourism programs. Specifically: the district organized survey teams with the participation of district leaders and related departments to survey the climbing route of Lao Than, Ky Quan San. The survey team directly checked the path, sightseeing point on the trail to the top of the mountain, measured the high of the mountain and checked the topography, setup the symbol on the top of Lao Than, Ky Quan San to fit and serve tourists to visit and take photos.

Besides, Bat Xat district has promoted the promotion of tourism programs and events through coordinating with media agencies and related units to carry out news and reports, promotional videos on mass media, websites, and leaflets. Especially, Lao Cai Tourist Information and Promotion Center is the official tourism of the province to information and promotion has developed communication and promotion plans associated with each program, specific events of Bat Xat district. The Center has published many special articles, pictures and videos about Bat Xat tourism, including climbing adventure tours on websites dulichlaocai.vn, sapa-tourism.com and fanpage dulichlaocai, newsletters Lao Cai tourism by the Center for management, operation, editing and printing. Beautiful tourist attractions, attractive adventure climbing programs and unique culture of Bat Xat tourism have attracted many domestic and foreign tourists to explore and experience. The program to conquer Mount Lao Than or Ky Quan San has been organized into a climbing award to attract the participation of hundreds of athletes from travel companies, tourists inside and outside the country and the people in Bat Xat district. The climbing program has really become one of the main activities in Bat Xat's festivals, typically the successful organization of the climbing tournament in the Auturm Festival 2017, 2018.

However, to developing this type of adventure tourism but still ensure the sustainable development direction, Bat Xat district needs to: Early issue regulations on management of mountain climbing tourism, open more training courses for orientation. tour guide, set up a mountain climbing management board, garbage collection groups, environmental sanitation groups; Actively propagating to the people, travel companies, and owners of mountain huts to fully register the number of guests; Enhance the responsibility of the communal police force, the attitude of workers working as a guide, porter for tourists to ensure safety for tourists, reminding tourists to protect the environment, not increase service prices weirdo.

Hopefully, with the potentials and advantages available and interest in developing this type of tourism, mountain climbing adventure tourism will become an outstanding and attractive tourism product, attracting thousands of tourists come to conquer, significantly contributing to the overall development of Bat Xat district tourism.
