This is the premise event, kicking off the Festival "Essence of the Northwest - Flavors of Lao Cai" officially in 2022. The festival will have 3 main events as follows:


Northwest Brocade Festival - "Love Story",


Taking place in 3 days from November 5 to 7, 2002, at the campus of Sa Pa Tourist House at 02 Fansipan Street, Sa Pa town (total area over 8000m2). Here you will be lost in the middle of a brocade village with brocade display space, weaving demonstrations of ethnic groups in Lao Cai province such as Mong, Dao, Tay, Xa Pho, Giay, Ha Nhi, etc. Nung, Pa Di, ... Through each brocade, we can discover and experience the love story of the couple, the beliefs and wishes of the happy and prosperous life of the compatriots. The vivid patterns and colorful colors on each brocade show the human outlook, worldview, philosophy of life, spiritual meaning of each ethnic group, thereby helping us to better understand the characteristics of each ethnic group. beautiful their traditional culture. Brocade not only contains life stories and love stories but also honors the role of women. They are the creators, keepers and teachers of cultural values.



2. Brocade roadshow on the street

Taking place from 17:30 to 18:30 on November 5, 2021. The show will run through the main streets of the town, the main performance will be at the street stage and return to number 02, Fansipan street. With 50 professional actors and models performing traditional ethnic costumes and unique costumes of famous designers, combined with light art, top-notch music effects will bringing the most special roadshow ever.



3. Art fashion show "Northwest Brocade - Love Story", taking place from 19:45 to 21:30 on November 6, 2021, at the courtyard of Sa Pa town. The theme throughout is "Northwest Brocade - Colors of life". The program started as “Love Story” with 3 themes: Remembering the brocade region, about…; Brocade love story; Brocade and Tourism Lao Cai - Northwest.

Brocade is like an envelope containing the story of a person's life, behind the iconic brocade patterns are many stories, legends, myths... about life, love associated with thinking , the lifestyle of an entire ethnic community. From a young age, the girls were taught by their mothers and grandmothers to embroider, dye fabrics, mix colors, weave yarns... so that when they grow up, they send their sincere wishes and feelings through each embroidery line. . All will be visualized in each performance, each performance costume. Each costume is a crystallization between the quintessence of traditional ethnic brocade and modern sensibility, highlighting love stories, demonstrating the intense vitality and traditional cultural values. The combination of effects of music, lighting, artistic stage installations, dance language with unique costumes will further honor the unique and characteristic beauty of ethnic costumes, making it become more and more popular. become a lively product, attracting tourists when coming to Lao Cai.
